Tickets are sold out just about everywhere in Manhattan for any showtime, leaving 'Batman' die-hards who want to see the flick forced to dish out top dollar for a showing.

Hollywood experts say the demand nationwide will land this latest 'Batman' film among the biggest and best movies ever.

"There have only been in history 10 films that have opened with $100 million, and 'The Dark Knight' is poised to be one," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of Media By Numbers.

They were showing Batman Begins last night on FX (brilliant!), which is a good movie, but now I hope the new one has better dialogue from the caped crusader himself. Man they gave Bale some awful lines.

Obviously, a differing opinion. Glad I was able to make you laugh for a change instead of tinkling you off.

You have to remember...at my age...I was comparing the new Batman movies to ADAM WEST and BURT WARD.

Nooooooooo....
...no way Keaton was better than Kilmer. He was worse than Adam West.

And yeah  I spelled tinkling b/c I knew the filter would kick in...how about pist? Let's see if that works.
(all this totally tongue in cheek, by the way... but serious about Kilmer being the best, so far...but I reserve judgment to change my mind after seeing this movie)

So was the original BATGIRL...she was getting it done. I preferred the JULIE NEWMAR catwoman, though.

If I knew Batman better and the comic books I would've absolutely loved it. With that being said, after going in with no idea what would happen, I liked it.

Scorcho explained it pretty well. He said it was a lot like The Empire Strikes Back in the Star Wars trilogy. It was very very dark but got the point across and explained things and set up the next movie.

Saw it last night, I really liked this movie. Heath Ledger did a great job as the joker.

To those of you that saw The Dark Knight...would seeing Batman Begins help this movie make more sense?

I haven't even seen Dark Knight, but I watched Batman Begins 2-3 weeks ago and the ending sets up the Dark Knight and I would make a wise guess that the basic story/plot of Batman Begins would make Dark Knight more enjoyable since you'd understand better what is happening and why it's happening...
