For those of us outside the Hill City right now, what happened with the Liberty
buyout of WDRL? In doing some browsing today, I noticed that the sale went bust
last month (according to the Wikipedia page, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WDRL-TV).

Where does that leave the "Flames Television Network"..in other words, where do they
air their broadcasts now? For that matter, where did they used to air them? Info is a bit
hard to find on the web...

Also on a certain local station's secondary digital channel.

And that deal actually went bust within a couple months of it being announced.

Gotcha. Thanks, all.

I was stumped why I couldn't find any info online about where FTN actually aired it's programming.
Do *all* the games that air get the webcast treatment? I'd like to start watching more, but I travel so
much..

Thanks.

Unfortunately our favorite commish decided to take over web rights to all FTN games as part of Big South Edge. So unless we are really fortunate we have to just live with audio streams & live stats most of the time.

Or pay 70 bucks to get the big south edge like I did last year. I did watch other teams games to help me prepare for the FTN games. It was kind of worth it for me. Plus I could use it as a tax write off. It was nice when you guys could watch for free. They even closed the back door on the Liberty Channel site. This year I will be able to watch the games on my PS3 on the big screen which will make a huge difference. Yes PS3 has a web browser. I get on flamefans on the PS3 sometimes. Watching those games on a laptop is really tough. The picture is small and when you make it bigger you lose a ton of resolution.

I don't know if it's too early to ask or not, but any news on MASN and games for next year?

Good question. I hope the relationship continues. I thought it went very well. Kevin Keys was the man that got this going last season and I suspect Liberty wants to continue the relationship. I hope we get a bunch of games for next season too. Time will tell.

It is a cost-effective way to add mor elocal content. I'm sure MASN is interested in keeping the relationship. But I am wondering is Comcast Sportsnet wants in on the action as well for the same reasons.

That would be great! Here's to hoping they want in. I have worked with them in the past and they are a little more snobbish than MASN. My old cable show was considered for Sportsnet several times. We did a Radford/Liberty game on there 4 or 5 years ago too.

I still know a bunch of people who doing their nightly sportscasts in DC. But none of them work on the programming side that coulod help us. But just the fact that their rival was picking up games might be enough to entice them this time around. Pitch away, Kevin.

The more TV coverage, the better! Plus, I like seeing myself on TV. :)
