I tired that route as well. She says, "what's the difference in that & what we're doing now? That'll just be more of a hassle to set up accounts."
My wife insists on having a joint account... unless it's the money she earns doing her part-time job. That's her money to spend on her frivolous things.
(No, I'm not allowed to have my own account for my own frivolous spending. Yes, I make more than she does).
