If so... Can you tell me where this verse is? Isaiah said it somewhere in the Old Testament:

"To minister to the needs of God's creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us."

Don't worry if you can't find it. It's not in there. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said it in reference to Earth Day (and on several other occasions). You have to wonder... What Bible is she reading out of?

Closest thing I've found is Isaiah 58:9-10:
9 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. "If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, 10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

Could be she heard a sermon once upon a time on that passage, and is remembering what the preacher said about the verse, rather than what the verse actually said.

Maybe Obama's pastor said it.

That's an interesting take, although that deals with the oppressed rather than the environment... Her verse basically asks us to worship the creation, not the Creator.
