I almost started the exact same thread earlier. April Fool's Day is probably the one thing -- besides print journalism -- that's been completely ruined by the internet.

Best April Fools day ever. A football insider website posted that Jason Taylor was going to retire from the NFL tonight on dancing with the stars so that he could try to be a dancer. Then they said that they would not pull the april fools day prank and this was for real. Well the Vikings put it on their website and how the Phins were going to take Long with their first pick and that ruined the whole draft board. Media guy in Miami finds out tells the GM, and instead on the GM laughing it off he freaks out all day till he finally got a hold of Jason to find out it was a joke.

Earlier today I pulled a pretty decent one. I downloaded a "Microsoft Blue Screen of Death" screensaver (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... 97558.aspx) and when one of my co-workers went to a meeting, I installed it on her computer. I then decided to unplug her keyboard and mouse... and then tipped off our computer guy about what I was doing. She freaked out for a second -- and then immediately knew it was me.

the old crotchety shipping guy got his normal coffee replaced iwth 4 yr old decaf i found in some cupboards....i told him a few minutes ago and he was like "ITS TERRIBLE I MADE 3 POTS TRYING TO FIX IT" when he realized he oculdned he proceded to drink 2 pots of it...

so it kind of worked?

i actually didn't even realize it was april fools day as i mess with him all the time...

My personal best April Fools joke:

Symphonic band tour in Florida, spring of '87 (back when you all were in elementary school :). I got half the band in on it -- and all I did was tell one girl that I was really going to get her on April Fools day. Every time I talked to someone, we looked at her and laughed. She went absolutely nuts.

At midnight on a bus headed to (I think)Miami, she looked at me and said "You never did get me!" and I said "I got you all day long. You went nuts trying to figure out what I was going to do, and I did absolutely nothing. You spent the whole day paranoid for no reason."

Yeah, they did it on M*A*S*H first. But it was still funny. And the girl married me anyway, so it turned out fine.
