You're talking about "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me"?

Wildcats,

So apparently you like punk rock and are not as much of a fan of music. Because the first album was a glorified punk record, and since then they have only gotten more and more amazing. (Fork and Knife) is just amazing. You guys need to listen to it.

Are you serious? Half of Mars Volta's music sounds like someone throwing up on a MacBook with garage band open, then whining about the stomach ache.

Listen to "Archers" and "Jesus", and then find me a Mars Volta song with better lyrics, music, or overall quality.

"The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me" is a very solid CD....I didn't like it at first, but it has grown on me over time...which I have found the better cd's tend to be like that...you always listen the first time and think...hmmmm...then pop it in again, and it just keeps getting better

"deloused in the comatorium" by mars volta and underoath's "cries of the past" and "changing of the times" kick the crap out of those two songs...

The Devil and God Are Raging Inside me was great, but I'm sorry, Your Favorite Weapon is one of my favorite cd's of all time.

I'm ok with Brand New's change in sound. I absolutely hate the way Relient K has changed. It's one thing to mature and change a little, but Relient K has changed completely.

Reliant K makes MrsPA vomit.

she made me turn it off, then I decided just to delete it altogether.

I loved a lot of the old stuff. It was just goofy pop-punk and was made great. The new stuff is terrible.

hmmm...i would disagree...I loved the old stuff when i was younger and it still holds a special place in my heart, it was far from great, ...and nothing they have put out recently is great...but its much more solid musically...their shows would be one of the best live shows there are if it weren't for all the 13 year old girls in the crowd...they stuff they do to even the simplest of their songs live is pretty amazing...too bad nobody goes to appreciate it besides the 13 year old girls

Musically they're better now, yes. The reason I say it was put together great was their melodies, lyrics, and harmonies worked perfect for what they were doing. They're better musically now, but they're trying to prove that too much, and it makes their stuff not as fun to listen to. It's kind of like Tom Delonge and Angels and Airwaves vs Blink. Mark and Travis "grew up" in Plus-44 and still have close to the same style while Tom is trying to prove how mature he is.

I can not stand Angels and Airwaves...but I never was a huge fan of Blink...his voice just would grade on my nerves after a while

by the way, I am loving the new JEW album....they just keep on putting out solid albums

Fred is formerly of TBS?

I know he started his own thing, but I wasn't aware he left TBS.

Oh, and yeah, that's an amazing cameo list.

Anthony from Bayside has one of my favorite voices in all of music.

Yeah, I was disappointed. I got through most of the song and I still hadn't heard Pete, then I got to the echo part at the end (Faster... Faster) and I finally heard him. Say Anything isn't really my style, but I'll give anyone a listen if they collaborate with someone I like.

We've got a few good weeks coming up.

Angels and Airwaves' new one comes out Tuesday.

Streetlight Manifesto (if you like ska) has one coming out soon.

So do the Killers.

Copeland has a new one coming out as well.

I'm downloading them all right now, hopefully they won't be bad.

I just got Coheed's new one too, haven't listened to it though.
