Once we got a real AD in here and a new basketball coach, everything has been more than favorable. Our conference basketball schedule next year is great.

For whoever asked, "Shattered" is precisely the operative term for what happened to Eugene. The technical list of everything that happened on that play to his ankle/lower leg would take too long to list, and be too detailed for many of us to understand. I saw that play, and it was downright gruesome. The G-W player tackled from behind by grabbing at the collar, pulled him down underneath him, and rolled right over the leg hard. Gruesome...

Shattered is the exaggerated term used when you can't otherwise explain why Gado is in the NFL and Goodman is not. Otherwise, you would have to admit that Gado was the better of the two.

However, I realize that I am in the minority here, and that there is an overwhelming consensus on this board that supports Karcher's decisions reagrding Gado as the third-stringer

I mean this is jest now, so don't get all girly on me: Just becuase a bunch of imbeciles hold the same view doesn't necessarily make it true  ...what I keep reading is that everybody says it was so, therefore it must be  even Karcher knows that he goofed that one up

Anyone remember Karcher trying to explain the phenomenon after Gado became the most talked about rookie in the NFL that year. "I was um, ya know we ah were gonna redshirt, and um he was ah, well he did actually score 11 TD's in uh only 5 starts, and he did lead our a team to uh, well victory, whenever he ah was the ah primary back. A um solid back and uh I called the Cheifs myself and uh um not surprised at all that he's doing so well in the NFL

So in your opinion, our starting RB was the worst of the 3. Got it.

Shattered was exaggerated, but it was so serious that he was told numerous times he would never play football again...I say thats pretty bad...which is why it is amazing that he is even playing at all and shows how good he actually is....

you aren't going to convince me and I guess you aren't going to be convinced....but you clearly did not watch very closely when he played here (Goodman that is)

Because we all know Karcher's starters meant so much. He was a very good back, but not versatile.

the only thing embicilic is the basis of your argument: that gado was a better college player because he has played in the nfl. if this were a "real" debate, your argument would hold no water. i had a better HS gpa than college gpa, does that mean i was a better high school student? not necessarily.

Your HS GPA has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not Gado was and is the better back.

All of the LU statistical evidence favors Gado, Karcher's poor decision making supports Gado, Gado's NFL experience confirms my position further, and the imbecility on the board infers a rather strong argument from inductive probability

Just having a little fun ladies. Don'r get your hair in a tizzy

And again, I thought that the other two backs were fantastic, just not NFL-caliber. I thought they were better than Gado too, until he actually played full-time, and ....ended up in the NFL

Hey, Tom Brady didn't play much in college. He wasn't the starter most of the time. I guess he wasn't as good as Drew Henson in college.

TO, Jerry Rice, and all of these other greats who went to I-AA schools shows that coming out of high school, and even while being in college, you can be an average/decent player, and then develop to a whole new level in the pros. That's what happened to Gado. He was given a great situation when the starters in front of him got hurt, and he took advantage of it. He worked his butt of and worked to not give up the starting position.

Actually, Tom Brady sat on the bench for the first two years while Brian Greise led Michigan to a national title. Brady actually started over Henson in every game during his final two seasons with Michigan. All three players are NFL-caliber, and Brady is clearly the best of the bunch. This situation does not resemble Gado's in the least.

These comparisons don't seem to make even the slightest bit of sense :dontgetit

Well Shuck, I guess you and the others are right. You've prettty much worn me down with your highly sophisticated arguments.

How dare I suppose that Gado was/is the better back, eventhough all of the measurable evidence would support that claim

You've surpassed your yearly quota of calling people idiots, stupid, imbeciles, etc. on the board today. You've been here long enough to know better. If you want to debate, have at it. However, ad-hominem attacks are not allowed.

That goes for everyone, but you seem to really be on a roll today.

the thing is nobody insults you....question your logic?? maybe...but you won't find people insulting you nearly as much as you insult others...

you come on here running your mouth looking for a fight, then you say "calm down" as if you accomplished something in "upsetting" us....if I got upset over a debate on a message board I would be living a pretty sad life...

I think your logic is off, and you think mine is off...there is going to be no agreeing on either side...which is why this is my last post in this thread
