I think Rush is right, we're screwed.
I agree we are screwed either way! When McCain is the nominee for what used to be the Republican party - folks like me and you are officially citizens without a candidate. If Hillary, Obama, or McCain win - the libs win. The only difference is that Hillary and Obama will start in the deep end of liberalism and McCain would start in the shallow end and work his way left to the deep end. I am wracking my pea brain trying to think of a viable 3rd party tru conservative candidate, and there really isn't one. Bloomburg is no conservative, and Buchanan is a NUT! Our only hope is someone with HUGE Money backing someone like a George Allen (I said LIKE) for a third party, and it's not going to happen. So for me I am out on a limb and prepared to say that our 2 party system is broken. There are a ton of conservative voters who unfortunately split their vote between Romney and Huck. Those who think Fiscal conservatism is the key went with Romney and those who think social/values conservatism is more important went with Huck. So now after we beat our brains out, we're left with lib McCain. Great. It is broken and must be fixed quickly. My fear is that not enough Republicans are as outraged as I.
