Kroger was not the buyer. Private equity group bought it. Not my fave ownership in general.

We REALLY need a Publix.

You pay for it... but Fresh Market has some of the best customer service of any grocery store I've ever been in. They do a nice job of making me feel upper class... even though by dollars and cents, I am not. They have great deals on good wine on Saturdays. It's a good experience overall when we go.

You are right, they do... but Publix is still much better.

Also meat dept is excellent. Just have to know what's on sale each day.
