"I visited several colleges in the South Carolina-North Carolina area, and Liberty really stuck out and felt comfortable," Curry said. "The atmosphere was nice, the coach was great and the girls were really welcoming."
Curry finished fourth on March 7 in the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 9.52 seconds at the State Individual Swimming Championships, commonly called the Meet of Champions. She was a Press first-team All-Star last winter. Curry is also a lifeguard swimmer for the Ocean City Beach Patrol in the summer.
"Erin is an exceptional student-athlete," Mainland coach John Rakowski said. "She's very versatile. She's outstanding in the 200 IM and she swims any of the strokes well individually."
