My brother is an LU grad, and has been married for 10 years. He has two children ages 9 and 6. Over the past year and a half, him and his wife have become very distant. About 8 months ago, he really began working on repairing the relationship. It hasn't worked. She has recently gotten her nursing degree, and claims to be working all the time. My brother tried to get her to go to see a counselor with him for months, and she finally went with him, and it turns out that she has been spending some time with another guy. She claims it has not crossed any sexual lines, and my brother believes her. Well the counselor gave them some things to do before they meet again. My brother is VERY motivated to do it, she is refusing. He truly is heartbroken and trying to make it work, but she simply says that she thinks she is done. She is pretty distant with the kids as well.

It looks pretty bleak, but God can get someone's attention and change hearts, so I would love prayer on their behalf.

Thanks in advance!

This sounds like you could be telling my next door neighbor's story. But his ended badly.

All you can do is pray and be supportive. I'm saying a prayer for them right now in Houston.

Yeah, unfortunately it is probably too common in today's world. I live 1,200 miles away now, so I'm not around them, but my dad seems to think it's over. She just seems to have made up her mind, and she doesn't want to be married any longer. She is making plenty to live on her own, and to do what she wants to do. I just don't think she will like what she finds out there as a single mother in her 30's, but maybe it will take an experience like that to change her heart. Or maybe she'll find some guy, and get married. Either way, I don't think she is going to like the direction she is headed in, once she arrives at her destination!

Thanks for the prayer! It will be interesting to see what God does through this situation!
