Now, why exactly is it a problem to say "colored people" to someone that is a member of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People)? Also, why is it more acceptable to say "people of color" and not acceptable to say, "colored people"? Personally I wouldn't use either description myself, but it just seemed strange that someone would be offended by it's use, when it is the name of the organization that was being discussed.
