Ahh, the competitor, actually everyone here probably has something hanes, between Polo, Ralph Lauren, C-9, Champion, Duofold, etc. And of course the infamous Beefy T.

Wow, I didn't expect to see Marketing/PR pop from you guys. Interesting.

As for Flameshaw's advice, it is dead on. I am asked by young people heading into broadcasting all the time whether they should pursue it. I always tell them that if it is in their blood then they need to give it a shot despite the sacrifices. There is nothing worse in life than looking back with regrets and wondering "What if?".

That said, there also comes a point when passion gives way to practicality. And that is where I stand these days. The sacrifices you can make as a young person without major responsibilities become more burdensome as you grow older (just ask Brew). So bottom line is live life while you are free to pursue your dreams.

I'm a life conversion processor/talker on the phoner. At the time, it was a job, which I needed, and a way into a financial company, which I wanted. I hate it though, and am looking for something new to do. I'm starting to get less discriminate about what that is. If you have questions about your Life Insurance aske me! yay!

I currently work in the customer service aspect of banking. I love banking, especially the community banking environment, however I feel I should be making more than I do. The department I am in, my boss doesn't have a college degree, neither does my boss's boss, they just have the experience of 10+ years in the industry. It's hard just graduating from college, being married, having to pay my student loans, trying to save some money to buy in house in the very near future, etc.

Project Manager/Business Analyst. Just finished a 1 year contract with SunTrust Mortgage and am weighing options for my next gig/contract. I may have a permanent position as a PM in a Human Resources environment which would be a really neat job. I have an inside track on it but you don't ever count your chickens before they are hatched. I have been contracting for 5 years now and am ready for something solid. You guys know what my true love is though, television/radio color commentating. I also like hosting studio shows but would rather be an analyst on one of those types of shows like Kenny Smith/Charles Barkley as opposed to Ernie Johnson. I used to host a sports talk show in Northern VA that included such guests as Jim Larranaga from George Mason, Billy and Cal Ripken, Many Redskins execs and players including Marvin Lewis etc. That was a lot of fun. I agree with Flameshaw about finding something fun. That is really hard to do but if you can your quality of life will be great in terms of the work week. I like my PM work I have done for most companies. AOL was my favorite so far. And it paid the most but that is not why it was my favorite... I have never found 1 position in PM work in Lynchburg in nearly 4 years which is why we are finally selling Stately Scarborough Manor.
