If the reason you can't use the current fighting eagle is that it is clip art, why can't it be made into a vector graphic and perhaps just tweaked a little such as placing the official LU letters on him? I'm glad to see the alumni office seeking opinions from alumni before items are produced and then not sold.

The one you see in the bookstore did put the letters on the art. It is a vector graphic, however, they would rather have a new fighting eagle rather than tweaking the old one. They refer to it as the "fighting chicken". It does look more like a chicken than an eagle.

So the Alumni office is using the same logo that is used for the Flames Kids Club? The latest issue of the Alumni newsletter offers a car decal with that logo and the words LU Alumni on it. I take it then that that's what they are going with? I was hoping they wouldn't. That logo may work for the Flames Kids Club, but I would never put that logo on my car representing Alumni. Just have Proto design a cool logo if the Alumni office is banned from using the Athletic logo. So much for the brand identity guide, of which the below logo is not even a part of.
