Sam is a small suburban kid from near my house. But he can flat out fly and he has instincts that only a select few ever experience for even a fleeting moment.

We ran that play of him hurdling the dude from Cy Creek from the low angle a zillion times. I went out and interviewed him the Monday after the play and the pub was just getting started. But he's pratically reached mythic proportions down here in football crazy Houston.

Since becoming a YouTube legend he has gotten offers from nearly every major football factory in the nation as he finishes up his junior year of school.

The YouTube legend is coming in studio tonight to announce his college choice to the world on our Sports Sunday show.

I'll let you in on a secret ... it's not the Flames.

hey sly, when you talk to Brian Perroni tonight, tell him he should of stayed in the ministry...speaking of which, do you think having Ken Norton's brother working there is a "conflict of interest" and may be some violation of NCAA rules? Especially if he pulls the switch and says USC. I have a feeling that the ags are going to be the bridesmaid again on this one

Keith has nothing to do with this decision and he has no influence. The kid's making up his own mind.

Brian said that Keith was on the phone with his brother right before the announcement, I just think that he played Daryl Stonum after his commitment to UM instead of USC.

It was done in a teasing fashion but Keith was roundly lectured about it. I wouldn't expect anything similar in the future.

As for tonight's announcement, the dreaded Wolverines ...

WOO HOO!!

I'll get to watch every game this kid plays for Michigan!! I usually attend 2-3 games at the Big House each year and will definitely watch every other game on tv. I hope he lives up to the hype up here in Michigan!
