He is a great kid that went through a very tragic situation and wanted to get as far away as He could, thank God for Coach Debusk and His staff, for being there for Him. Good Luck "C4" (thats what the fans in Brevard call Him).

For the record, I never fudged the facts, and I was stating what I had heard from a major 1-AA scout (along with several other sources)at the county all-star game, they were his words, not mine. Cameron is a great kid, and he was very courteous to me when I met him. I wish him the best, regardless of where he plays.

You can't always believe the voices in your head, Hoops. I, for three, have had to learn that the hard way.

do you work for the new york times? Because you just quoted me out of context. My scouting report was in regard to the kid's sheer talent. The grade factor was a seperate issue and I was providing an explanation for the reason why he wasn't playing at a larger program.

It's more fun that way.
I was ... the reason why he wasn't playing at a larger program.
See? Giggles aplenty.

Like I said I am very close to the Harris Family, and I was there when scouts tried to talk to Cameron and His dad always stepped in as you know Cameron is a very quiet kid. I commend how the Harris Family handled the hold situation trust me grades were not the issue, He wanted to be in a home like atmosphere. I was highly recruited and I found out that scouts will do or say whatever it took to turn other schools off, all the schools that said that Cameron had bad grades kept recruiting Him anyways. With 2 D1 Florida schools trying to get Him to change His mind after He commited to TC not to mention Southern Miss. who lied constantly to Him. Bottom line is He is very happy where He is and this is a Liberty site not a Cameron Harris site. Good Luck to both teams.

I went through the media guide from 2006 and if Im not mistaken we have not lost a home opener to a non-Division I team since before LU became a Division I football program (1985 I believe was the last time that happened someone can verify that for me)

Don't let 'em bring you down, BJ. That's the type of research we use to prepare for broadcasting games. Nice nugget.

Jinxes are for schools that don't recognize who is ultimately in control.

lol thanks Sly. I think I got the year right on that one too. Hopefully somebody can verify it for me because I am particularly proud when I can come up with nice little tidbits that go beyond the on the field numbers

Check out this article on Tusculum Recruit Rb Cameron Harris from Florida
You don't tug on Superman's cape. You don't spit into the wind and you don't mess around with Cameron Harris.

The War Eagles' dynamic running back proved why he's the most potent offensive weapon on the Space Coast as Astronaut made quick sport of the visiting Scorpions.

In a one-man offensive bonanza, Harris accounted for 417 of Astronaut's 438 yards of total offense and four of its six touchdowns.

Taking snaps directly from center, Harris tallied 245 yards rushing (213 in the first half) and three touchdowns to go along with 13-of-18 passing for 174 yards and a touchdown to lead the surging War Eagles, winners of five straight games.

Satellite, which gained just 102 yards of total offense in the game, managed to score with :50 left in the first half on a 72-yard catch and run from junior quarterback Craig Manuel to fellow junior Brice Carter to pull within 21-6.

But Harris wasn't through.

Forty-five seconds later, he connected with Johnny Brown from 15 yards out to stake Astronaut to a 28-14 halftime lead.

The War Eagles would tack on a safety, a 65-yard punt return by Jon Hester, a five-yard run by Harris' brother Dominic and a 35-yard field goal to complete the rout.

With his performance against the Scorps, Harris now has 1,468 yards rushing through seven games. He needs to average 177 yards per game in Astronaut's reaming three games to reach the 2,000-yard plateau. He is averaging nearly 210 yards per game this season.

He finished the season with over 2000 yards rushing 30 td's over 500 passing yards, over 300 rec. yards, Can you say instant offense. was named Florida Class 3A Player of the Year

Any indication that they might redshirt him? Has TC camp started yet?

BJ,
The last D11 team that I remember us losing to at home was IUP. It was in the mid-late 90's, but I don't know if it was an opener. We may have lost to someone since then, I just don't remember. You know when you get older, that is the second thing to go. First thing went a long time ago.

Welcome back flameshaw...hope to see you at the FF.com tailgate a few times this year!

I actually saw that IUP loss when I was looking through the records. It was not the home opener (in 1993 the home opener was Concord who we beat 37-3, the IUP loss was the very NEXT home game at the Bill that year)

Good to be back, but will be south of the border again next week. BJ, current plans are to be at all the home games and some away games, especially Bill and Mary and Elon. Can't wait to get started.

Have you been to one of th charreadas yet? I admit I'm envious of your trips down to Guad. The only problem is that the Chivas fans are everywhere down there.

Oh yeah, back to Tusculum. This should be a great opportunity to see all of the redshirted kids that Coach Rocco landed in his first class.
