First of all, Zack is an incredible athlete. Almost as good as his little brother (inside joke, sorry). Unfortunately, he didn't get the recognition he deserved last year b/c he played all over the field. During the first several games -- when neither Landis nor Oeschlager were ready to step in at QB -- Zack was our 2nd QB. Then, after Rashad got hurt, Zack became our primary tailback. When Rashad did finally come back, the two of them actually split time the rest of the season. Zack's biggest talent, however -- at least, in my opinion -- is his heart. If he's within sniffing distance of the end zone, he's getting in. Anybody who saw him score the last TD at VMI with a separated shoulder this past season knows exactly what I'm talking about. He didn't get a lot of love from the media-types but he was selected byt the team as our offensive MVP.

Regardless of where he plays, Zack helps us immensely by giving us something completely different out of the backfield and making teams have to prepare for multiple looks. That can't be underestimated.

You had to bring up his little brother. Wait a few years before Nique overshadows him.

I'm excited to see what Wach and the rest of the staff have planned for Zach. He's got the abilities to do things like Arkansas did last year with him lining up for a direct snap or doing option passes, etc.

Anybody who underestimates Zach is an idiot. There I said it. The more he has the ball in his hands the better our chances for winning. To me he is the ultimate LU Slash.

Agreed, and it's not so much that the media types underestimate Zach, but most of them see him once a year, when Liberty plays the team they cover. Therefore, much is this voting is done purely by numbers. Believe me, opposing coaches aren't sleeping on Zach. And the media really isn't either. Most people remember that Zach moved back to TB last season because Rashad was hurt, and most will assume that Rashad will get the most carries this year, therefore they won't vote for Zach. I'd rather see us vote for a "utility" type player over voting for the best long snapper. We all just draw straws there.

You're trying to tell me you haven't spent hours in statistical analysis of the accuracy of snaps from center to holder or punter?

You must be slacking.

I agree completely that Zach needs to be on the field. Rashad has all the potential in the world to be an elite back, but he has to hit the hole hard and not dance. Zach on the other hand, is already on his way to being an elite back.

I think that Zach is gonna get a lot more carries this season than anticipated. He's proven that he can do it against the better defenses and with little help from his QB. All in all, Zach can carry this team if he needs to. He's that good.

To me Zach is the greatest offensive weapon I have seen in a Liberty uniform. I think he is a bona-fide super star! I love Rashad too but to me Zach is the man. I know I said it a lot at the games so Smoothie and others have heard it but IMO he has to be on the field all the time.

Yea, Zach is the man. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get the majority of the carries this season. He and Rashad make a great combination. Rashad is especially valuable in terms of ball control and taking time off the clock.

Rashad is our primary running back. He will get the majority of the carries.

With that being said, they are putting Zach in an A-back position where he will play receiver and line up at RB. He's our "Reggie Bush."

Bottom line: If LU is going to beat some of the better teams on the schedule, Zach is going to have to get a majority of the touches against the tougher defenses.

If Rashad runs as good as he did against W&M (meaning puts his head down and hits the whole hard) there's not a team on our schedule that can stop him.
