It's new in town so it's hard to get a vote...but LEDO'S is the best sweet tea I've had outside of my Granny's.

Doesn't matter. You don't need any more "obesity food". Just stay home.

Henry, 'Sorry, but I've never had Chick-Fil-A's iced tea, so I didn't think to put them on my list; when I go to Chick-Fil-A, I ALWAYS get their Lemonade. On a side note, my secretary thinks Chick-Fil-A makes the best milkshakes on the planet.

Rubber, I mourned the loss of Rally's when it became one of those cash advance stores on Wards Road, and the one on Memorial closed, too. My favorite meal from there was a Rally burger, fries, and a banana shake.

Fumble, you are the first person that I have ever heard of who orders sweat tea at an Italian restaurant. Do you drink sweet tea with pizza?? You must have grown up in NC or VA, my friend. :)

Would you rather me order a beer or red wine with my Italian meal? Actually, it was my son who ordered the tea and told me to try it...phenomenal batch.

I don't like it personally, but I don't trust a restaurant that doesn't sell it.

I hope you enjoy heat because you will be burning for a long, long, long time for that statement

haha, kidding

I love sweet tea, and I don't even really consider myself from the south, I've lived in so many places and Central Florida is where I spent most of my life and that isn't consider the REAL south...anyways, last weekend I went to my roommates wedding and they had their reception at The Kirkly hotel and they had unsweetened ice tea...but no sweet tea...they said they never have it....i was very upset...

anyways, I don't know what the best is in town...I always get the 99 cent Arizona Sweet tea...but I am sure there is better around

I grew up drinking sweet tea with every meal. In our house there was water, milk and sweet tea. That's just how it was. However, after being out on my own for a few years, I realized just how much sugar my mom was putting in that stuff. I've reached a point in life where I can't stomach sweet drinks anymore. So, I drink mostly unsweetened tea and water now. As a result, I've become a bit of a tea snob. Once you can actually taste the tea, an entirely different world opens up.

I didn't think any Southerners could comprehend the ide athat tea has a flavor of its own. You have strengthened my faith in humanity, Scorcho.

Seriously, is there really much of any difference in most sweet teas? They all seem to want to pay tribute to the old Def leppard tune. Its fine for a rare change of pace. But I admit I have developed a strong appreciation for fruit-flavored teas that would have many of my Yankee ancestors rolling in their graves.

See, it's exactly the excess of sugar that I hate. It tastes like a glass of water with a bag of sugar mixed in. Lipton, 4C, etc., those may be just powder mixes but they beat sweet tea any day of the week.

In my former life as a cook at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, where I was the only "white boy" in the kitchen, we used to put a full CUP of sugar per gallon of tea. And the key, of course, is to put the sugar in while the tea is still smoking hot. For some, though, they add even more sugar than that to their SWEET tea.

You guys are all right. How could I possibly want to drink that much sugar. Us real men these days are worried about out figures, so we must watch our sugar intake. So when you cram in those extra cookies or second piece of cake or pie, be glad you stayed away from that Sugary tea.
Are you kidding me? If you want a good refreshing drink, Sweet Tea it is! It's supposed to have sugar, it's sweet tea! All I drink is tons of water and a glass or 2 of sweet tea with meals a few times a week. So I want something good, and I hate soft drinks. My tea is the best!
