Maybe we are getting a package deal--new stadium for Storm & a new stadium for the Rocco.

Maybe Sly is trying to tell us that LCA will be taking it over. So nobody will mistake it for High School Field BECAUSE IT IS.

Or maybe the key "Williams Stadium". Are they renaming it to something like, "Falwell-Williams Stadium" and that is what we'll confuse with a High School stadium?

Or maybe they're putting up a large sign that says "not a High School stadium". Then nobody would confuse it.

I drove past the stadium after work today. No sign of a Jumbotron (yet), but the red booster seats go from just below the blue seats all the way to the front row.

Maybe there is something in the statement, "If things go down as planned". What could go down? We already have field turf. Perhaps the old scoreboard will be coming down, and being replace with a new one that includes a jumbo tron!

all the hinting around had BETTER hold something MORE than just expanded seating.

We've known about the plans for the second deck for months now, and the AD was pretty explicit at the Spring Game about how, where and when he intended to start the whole project.

we also know who's funding it, and that the $$$ are guaranteed. there's really no mystery here. Just a matter of when it goes up.

C'mon- if you're holding out on info here, I want a freakin' pony or something GOOD

Our highly placed source ( ) described starting the 2nd deck about the same height as the roof of the temporary suites, cantilevered out approx 10' or so OVER the existing seating and extending back at roughly the same angle as the existing level.

obviously the pressbox area would have to be redone entirely. If you search under "stadium expansion" you'll get the drift- we've talked it into the ground.

funding has been promised by our FB Sugar Daddy, just a matter of NEEDING the capacity- another good season and we're there. Its just been hard to justify prior to the 2006 season.
