hey hey hey, let's not make this about the NBA. This is about mbb vs wbb. I'm sure Naismith didn't envision people being able to dunk, but that's just one aspect of the game that I'm sure he wouldn't mind. In LU games you might get 2 dunks a game. What's going on the rest of the time? Shooting, Dribbling, passing, blocking. Same thing that goes on at a women's game, just a lot faster.

look at the historical #'s and there is very little that is different in terms of team ball than back in the 70's and 80's (back when many considered it to be good "team" basketball) the only reason nba gets a rap for their players having a me me mentality is because they are idolized on a much greater level than their predecesors...

as for college basketball if i want to watch fundamental basketball that is entertaining as well, give me men's ball. sorry, the women are far from "fundamentally" superior to the men....i see just as sloppy basketball at a wbb then at a men's....

as i said, good for you in your endeavors and hopefully when/if my girls decide what sport to play i change my mind but at this juncture it ain't happening....

Exactly. Ever since the NBA went to a glorified game of 1-on-1 to make the game more "exciting", fundamentals have gone way downhill and the games have turned into one sloppy snorefest after another. If Bird and Magic saved the NBA, the Jordan Rules killed it.
