I've seen this thread some where on here while searching but I wanted to create another and just go through the shows I try to catch on my Tivo

This isnt all of them but the ones that are really good and going on right now

- American Inventor
- Run's House - It's on MTV, Rev Run (Run DMC) runs a very close very tight Christian family and it's a lot of fun to watch
- Ultimate Fighter - it's pretty much survivor for UFC wannabes
- Man Vs Wild - I can learn something from this guy every minute
- Deadliest Catch
- The Office - most brilliant show since Seinfeld, who knows if it'll surpass it but it's possible
- Pinks - These idiots will race and put their title of their car on the line!

There are more but this is it for now. I didnt mention the obvious reruns that EVERYONE watch's like seinfeld and others :)

I've said this before, but the Office is definetly one of the best shows on TV. Here at the LUGrad household, we don't have Tivo or DVR, so we plan our Thursday's around Steve Carell and the gang. If we can't see it, poor man's Tivo comes into play...

I also try to pick up the next-day reruns of the Colbert Report. For some reason, that guy mocking hardocre Republicans is funny (even though I happen to be one). :usa

For me its: The Office (I never really got in to it until I bought Season 1 on DVD because I was bored and it was on sale. I agree with the Seinfield comment. I think it def. has some staying power), an absolute diehard 24 fan, still love old Everybody Loves Raymond reruns and of course, football in any way, shape or form. More specifically, the Washington Redskins.

The man in Man vs. Wild gets all the love while the camera crew is enduring the same elements right beside him and nobody notices. Oh the travails of a reality television photog.

There's a different one called "survivor man". He does all the camera work himself so nobody is with him the whole time. And he has to do everything twice. He'll climb down a cliff, set up the camera, and then go back up and climb down again. He just isn't as entertaining to watch as Bear is, so his show isn't popular.

They should make 'Grizzly Man' into a TV show. I'd watch that.

They endure the same elements, but not with the same rules and conditions. They get to bring along food, supplies, whatever they can carry. They are not allowed to interact with him outside of filming him except to radio in for help should he actually be on the verge of losing his life. I watched Conan interview him last week, and the camera men definitely don't have to do things the way he does on that show.

this is on wiki
One noteworthy episode, he urinated on a cloth and wrapped it around his head. Bear eats living animals on this show. In Alaska he bites a fish to death, in another, he bites off the head of a snake.
When watching it in the context of the show, you're like "wow" but it makes sense. But reading it like that just seem ridiculous.

while we're pimping that show, 2 of my personal favorite moments

In africa, he found a half eaten Zebra and thought the other half would make a good meal for himelf so he just started eating it raw.
Also in africa, he found some elephant dung and he squeezed it and drank the water that came out of it. Afterwards he lets us know that you don't want to do that unless you have to.
