The gathering place for LU alumni to wax nostalgic about their glory days and tell current students how easy they have it. Old hags & bright-eyed and bushytailed recent grads both welcome.

I actually was sitting at a plasma bank and they were playing movies to help pass the time. They have "In The Mix" with Usher on the screen and during the big shootout at the end, they have Toby Mac's "Catch a Fire (Whoopsie Daisy)" playing in the background. How cool is that?

My son has been listening to TM and Relient K a lot lately; he wanted to do a TM song for the teen talent show but we couldn't find much perform. music at bookstore near us- will have to travel to Manchester next time probably. He has a DVD "Angel Wars" which features a tobyMac video of "She's Gone"?

first let me go off to those of you who have slamed DCT. Your talking on a topic you have no business discussing. You see i was a fan of DCT from the begining saw them in concert 4or 5 times pluss seen Toby and Michael in concert (solo) and stood and talked to them on a personal basis behind stage. You see i work for Liberty and was working the concerts and you can really see a group or person for who they really are when you are behind stage with them. you aparently don't know good character or music if you are not only going to slam them as a band and solo but you slam Geoff Moore to. You need to learn what real music is.

on a different note
I have an 8, 6, and 4 year old and they just love True Dog.

That was the dumbest thing I've ever read. It's nice to defend character, but it's another thing to act like a music snob. You can't tell somebody what they like is no good. Why do you think they like it?

Excuse me, but because you work at Liberty and worked concert you're all-knowing on what real music is? That was the dumbest statement ever on this message board.

Come on, guys. I've just sent out invitations to a bunch of alumni to come check out our board. So we are going to have quite a few visitors around here the next couple of days. Let's try and show some patience as they get a feel for the place.

All that said, my nearly 2-year-old daughter is so crazy about Trudog that my wife has hidden the Toby Mac CD for fear of going completely insance at the umpteenth time through the song. It hasn't stopped my little girl from begging for it everytime I start up the engine.

I'll be nice, but not when they throw out crap like that.

SJ dont use your age as an excuse my friend. im sure there is a better way to express how you disagree. with that said tal_tpd should learn how to express himself better. this is a public forum where we can feel free to agree or disagree on anything. I personally liked DC Talk, but to tell other people that they are ripping those guys character is wrong. no one ripped their character, some just said they did not like their music. we all know they are christians and have a strong testimony, and are certainly serving the Lord, so just leave it at that.

It was a joke, as evidenced by the attempt at a punchline at the end.

Musically speaking, I grew up on DC Talk so I loved them. At one point in time, I've had ever album. On the solo stuff, I like Tait's music but don't like Toby's because I'm not a big modern rap fan. What I've heard of Kevin's stuff has been good. Just because I don't like Toby's music a ton doesn't mean I don't think he's good. He's one of the most talented people I've ever heard of. If I was ever in a band and was recording a cd (one of my many dreams out there) I would love for him to produce it. He's an amazing producer. He's an amazing writer. I just don't like rap.

I love the fanny pack and the white dude with the Gumbi cut at the :25 mark. I'm thinking that might have been Knuckle before time and three kids caught up with him.

I'll bet somebody on here has the ORIGINAL music video of Heavenbound shot in what was then the old SAGA Deli as part of a WLBU-sponsored concert. My roommate was involved in the "production" and I believe one or more of our FlameFans may have been as well.
