i dont care much for baseball, but tell me someone is watching this game in the 12th inning! benitez just balked TWICE to bring in a run. game tied after SF thought they had the game won after a play at the plate in the top of the 12th. NYMs just win the game with a homer.

unbelievable.

you hardly ever see a balk, but 2 in one inning? and one of them forced the run home... that pitcher was way too nervous

Armando Benitez? A former Oriole--that God for "former."

It was amazing to see the energy in Shea last night when Benitez came to the mound in the bottom of the inning...b/c his past history as a Met told the fans that not that they had a chance...but that he would implode and the Mets would win the game. I cannot recall seeing that much excitement over the opposing team's closer coming into a game.

Armando Benitiz in Shea? Guranteed loss for whichever team he is pitching for. There was no need to even play the bottom of the 12th if he was pitching. Could have packed it up and gone home early.

When he was a Met, I would have rather seen Mother Theresa come it to close the game rather than Benitiz.

Fenway enjoys seeing Rivera coming in these days. Who could ever forget the ring ceremony in 2005. Fenway Park Home Opener vs the Yanks. When the starting line ups were announced, the Home Crowd gave the opposing Rivera a standing ovation. That was priceless.

I was watching the game last night and I had a feeling when Armando came in the Giants were toast. You can thank Reyes for being a little pest on the base paths. Then when Del-got-it Delgado hit the pitch, I knew it was gone.

Between Mother Theresa closing games and Jesus Christ hitting a curve ball "-Major League I", that would be an interesting matchup late in the game.

I'll never forget my elderly grandmother was watching a ball game a couple years back. When Ivan Rodridguez came to the plate, he grabbed his chain around his neck, kissed it, and gave a sign of the cross. My grandmother states, "What a good Christian boy." Oh the things a 90 year old will say.
