September 1st can't get here soon enough. But with summer now upon us I thought it was time we started looking forward to our next opponent.

I know it was talked about after the spring game but has it been decided upon where we are going to do the tailgates this year?

Same spot as the spring game. They only reserve parking spots, not grass areas. As long as we don't interfere with the Barber family we're in good shape. All that means is we'd have to find a different place to play hillbilly golf.

Can we just move it down a little bit?

Move it/what down where? The spot we had was absolutely perfect. We've got the most people of any tailgate there, we need a lot of grass which is what we had.

Well, you're not the only one, I think he claims to be our self-proclaimed basketball expert.

No, the Barber's are on the strip right in front of where their car is. We're on the big grassy spot. Where we were playing Hillbilly Golf was going towards where they are.

Y'all are going to beat the living crap out of Tusculum. They've been good in the past but y'all shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Xerxes thought the same thing about the Greeks, and the British thought the same about our militia at Cowpens. Watch out for the small band of Calvinists wearing blue socks...if you take us too lightly, you might end up getting chunked into a nearby river.

rest assured, the players are not taking any team lightly and are extremely focused. i think some of you PC fans are not giving your new big south brethren any respect. you should expect a very tough game upon your arrival in lynchburg.

Personally, I'm giving you guys a ton of respect. I said you'd beat TC hands down and I've never said outright that we're going to beat you guys. In fact, I'm a voice of moderation on the PC forum.

Maybe some of the disrespect y'all are perceiving from our end stems from our frustration at the fact that everybody in the league has automatically written us off when we annihilated CSU at their place in 2005 and lost a heartbreaker to them this past season. Our alltime record with LU in football is pretty close, so it's not like you've dominated us like we've done to Newberry. I'm not saying I'd feel any different if I were y'all, what with us being the new guys, and I don't think PC fans can realistically assume that we're going to clean house this season. In fact, I like being the underdog because we've nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I DO think we should be given at least a little credit. But even if you don't want to give us anything, that's fine with me. I don't mind if you count us out. Talk is cheap, and IF we upset you guys in Lynchburg then you'll have egg on your face. Although I don't care if you take what I have to say as being disrespectful or not, it's not meant to be.
