obviously the talent level in the league has improved- props to HPU for a "Way-too-close" game. Hopefully HMO is getting the scores updated over his Blackberry!

We nearly died by the FTs this afternoon- 6/16 is atrocious and very unusual for this team. By comparison, HPU converted 83% and it nearly won it for them, since they shot 31% from the floor compared to our 38%.

Take nothing away though from the ladies- missing the big girl (both last years and this years!) and we still win the conf!

great game! i had the honor to see it in person with my boy SCAR, and it was a real slugfest! i can tell you that the female official was trying to give the game to HPU, but in any regard, allyson fasnacht was the key to the win in the 15-0 run and of course the game winner. great job ladies!

I can understand the fan's frustration... I think we had 4 charges in the first 3 minutes. It was nuts.

All in all I'm very excited about this win... it was one of the toughest since we started this 10 year run. Great job Coach Green and great job Lady Flames!

I believe it was atlest 5 maybe 6 charges in the first half. That is crazy. Also when The Frazee girl got pushed out of bounce. Of course no foul but out of bounds on LU.

That was the women's soccer team, they are huge supporters of the girls team....they are there for every game and they have traveled to the bulk of the road games as well... Should be very interesting to see who we play unfortunately the NCAA is gonna make us wait until 7pm on Monday... This team just continues to play great defense, coach Green has done a tremendous job with this group[/list]

That was Brooke Weisbrod on the call for the game. She played at Coastal from 97-01 and had a fierce rivalry w/ the Wilkerson twins. She had her due though after they left by picking up conference player of the year honors in 2001. She was a terrific player!

Back to the main point -- that was the best BigSouth game I've seen since the 2001 championship against Elon, even though I would say this game was more fiercely contested than that one. Either way, give much credit to HPU because they deserved to win this one as much as LU did. It was a dog-fight the whole way, and while many are questioning some calls by the refs the players decided this one. This game was pure guts and a pleasure to watch for all you basketball junkies. It would've been nice to do a little better than 6-16 from the stripe though, maybe it would've been easier on the blood pressure. Go LADY FLAMES!!!

brooke is a hottie, but also a very smart woman. she was a big south scholar athlete of the year as a senior. i had the chance to talk to her after the game and she is a solid lady....but yes very hot indeed.
