nope and it's a good thing. ice cream is no longer a part of my eating habits.

Jessica walked into the football game in front of me, and she was with the triplets; then Green was sitting a few rows in front of me with his wife and a really tall lady who I'm guessing was Jessica's mom. Both Jessica and her mom were wearing RED--which is a very good sign.

Neither Rivals or Scout has done an update on here in forever. I really like our chances. She wouldn't have flown all the way across the continent to see a school that she's not seriously interested in ... especially when apparently it wasn't her first trip.

There was a very tall mother-looking lady at the last football game sitting next to Mrs. Green. My guess is that was Jessica's mother, and they talked to each other the entire game in the reserved red seats--that has to be a good sign.

LU, when given the proper chance, can really mold and build a person spiritually. The basketball is great -- and the coaches CAN put kids into the pros ... BUT ...

the spiritual side of LU is amazing.

It's my hope that Jessica and her Mom will realize what so many of us have realized over the years: LU is a special place, built by special people, that builds special young champions for Christ.

This place will help her physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually -- there's no school on the planet like LU ... Its a win-win: just ask Feenstra. Jessica's many basketball skills are the cherry on top of a beautiful LU sundae.

Even if Jessica chooses another school, the fact she gave us serious consideration and her brother eventually is coming here shows how much the national stature of the school has grown in hoops.

Besides the many unique things LU as a school can offer a talented scholar athlete who is also serious about her faith as Jesse seems to be, what is being discussed in the other active thread in this forum is one of the biggest things we have going in our favor. The fact is that not many coaches can claim to have worked with a player of that size and talent level, even at the highest levels of college ball. The fact that Katie was able to experience a sweet 16 run at LU and now is playing a significant role in the WNBA finals can't be overestimated. The possible down side is Jesse may not like the idea of the inevitable comparisons.

If she made an official visit two weekends ago, wouldn't that automatically mean we are one of her top 5?

Its a Pac-10 school and she has been playing for a Spokane AAU club. Its disappointing but anytime we are battling Pac Ten schools for recruits it is a good thing.
