We have heard about SCAR's dunk against ETSU, but how does his dunk rank among LU's best all-time dunks? My favorite dunk of all time was the one that Jody Chapman had against UNC in the 1994 tournament game. With Chapman being from Charlotte, his dunk against the Tar Heels must have been pretty special to him.

I talk with Jody a lot and that one does rank up there in his mind as one of his greatest moments but he had one that was better in the big south championship too. I believe the guy tried to take a charge and he caught Jody in mid air. Anthony Smith has had some nasty dunks off lobs esp this past season. Gabe Martin was the best game dunker I have seen in Liberty uniform. He dunked on Phillip Williams of Winthrop so hard off 2 feet and Phillip tried to block it. He had another one against UT Chattanooga that was ridiculous. Julius and Aluma had some rim wrecking dunks as well. I had one against a 7 footer up at Central Connecticut St that was an and one. If you come over I will show you. The tape is still cued up 8)

Yep Brew had a couple of nasty ones. There haven't been that many rim wreckers in school history. Boo Graham had some tomahawk dunks from our 96-97 team and Darryl Williams was the real deal on the 94 championship team. Can anyone name some big game dunkers in the Hanky era?

Not gonna happen big fella...except on tape that is. I need to get the TV crew to dig up the archives and show some of those dunks...I may be able to put one down though by the Alumni game....Phillip Ward was a good dunker. Did he get a lot of dunks in games? Doug Stewart was a great dunker but I believe he only had one or 2 in his career. Dees had some nice ones but not one stands out in my mind right now.

I'm voting Russel's one-handed dunk against Longwood in the Vines.

I would have to agree on the Jody dunk as best of all time.

Back in the day when we would start a game with a dunk off the tip with Ferg an Chris T. it would get the fans going.

D. Williams had some good Dunks.

If Ohman ever catches one off the break, look out.

Anthony probably will be near the top of the list by the time his reign at LU is done. I was a big fan of Martin's dunks and some of Leo's dunks were naaasty.

Brew's dunk leaving at the foul line has to be up there.

SCAR, here's old school, I can remember some nice dunks by "fish"

Rob Attaway had a fast break dunk, but I can't remember if it was in a regular game or during the BSC tournament.

Since I've followed LU bball, Gabe Martin has been the nastiest dunker.

I know it's not an dunk by LU, but do you guys remember the dunk the guy from HPU, maybe Akeem Scott I can't remember, had in the championship game. I believe it was over Gabe.

I remember some of Fish's Dominique-esque two-handed slams where it seemed like his feet were about to hit the backboard. He immediately came to mind when this thread first started.

Gabe to me is obviously the best we've ever had at it. It seemed like he was always looking for that chance.

But the best dunk I've ever seen was from none other than Phil Ward. Those were the years where winning was a lost cause, and all we would attend the games for is to see a dunk from Sneed or Ward. I can't even remember what game it was (because it really didn't matter back then) but Phil had a one handed putback that he had to reach behind him to grab. Maybe it was just the only bright spot in a dark time for LU sports, but we went crazy. All 50 of us that were there in the vines that night.

Honerable mention goes to Freddy Williams who lost the ball on his way up for a dunk by himself on a breakaway.

It was Zion White. It was so sick. Despite us winning by 500 points, that dunk was the only highlight that made sportscenter.
