I have heard from multiple sources that the football field is being totally redone due to a drainage problem under it. Is this true, and moreso if it is, will it be done by graduation?

First I've heard of it. That sounds pretty crazy, but it wouldnt be the first time a drainage problem has wrecked one of our fine facilities.

Some work is being done but not nearly as much as the rumor mill would have you believe, apparently. Work is being done to improve drainage in the stadium and on the new practice field but it's not being "totally redone". The whole job shouldn't take more than a few days.

hmmm, is the practice field that huge chunk of land right next to the FOC that looks like it should have a building on it?

That's the one. Aside from the kickers, the team didn't use it this spring b/c the grass is still too new.

I saw them doing some work on the new practice field when I was driving into school this morning....they were putting dirt down, almost as if they were going to replant grass or something

Posty is right. It's just dirt on the ground.

Actually, I think that field that Medic saw was for the Cole Bros circus that's in the LaHaye parking lot right now.

It looks as though they just graded part of it to put in either sprinklers or drainage but I could be wrong.

You righton, SuperJon...
....that is all they have done. It looks like they need to aerate, re-seed, and topdress it b/c the base looks like an injury waiting to happen...appears to be mostly fill-dirt. If they want to do it right, just spend the $$ on sod.

the land directly beside the FOC complex... on the opposite side of the road of lahaye. the land that has one long side lined with the fence to the football stadium/complex, and another long side lined with the road you turn off to into lahaye.
