If your gooing to judge a captian by basketball ability than Smith is probably your best candidate, but Smith's biggest flaw is his lack of leadership ability, he does not display the positive attributes that are needed in a captain, he has alot of maturing to do.

If you want someone who is going to step up and lead, who will call people out, push others to be better, and give 100%, then your best candidate is Tyler Baker.

I have had alot of experience in seeing how Tyler and Anthony respond to correction and discipline.

With Tyler you see positive changes, and a great attitude.

With Smith its everyone elses fault, and he takes no responsibility for his actions.

I don't doubt that Tyler has leadership qualities, although it would be unusual for a Sophomore (eligibility-wise) to be a captain. Rell was, but that came at a pretty low time for the program.

You do not choose a captain on age, but on leadership ability and character. No one should be given the title of captain because of his athleticism and classification. That in itself would be a mistake that can cause many negative consequences.

Also Tyler came in with the same class as Anthony.

Thats Tough, Honestly, First Alex without a doubt... Hes got what it takes especially as hard as he is working right now and being a leader on the floor. Secondly I would say Rell or Smitty, the only thing is they are too quiet, they both have their respected positions and they do their jobs well, they are just too quiet, that was the main problem with LB. Lb demanded respect and you knew he was the man, hes just too quiet. So I really dont know who my second pick would be. Looking at the roster the only logical captain would be Rell. Hes been there, hes been a captain, hes a senior, he always works hard, the only downfall is that he is quiet which i said already. Rell is a great leader and if he can change that he would be a great captain. I just think Ace is going to be one of the best captains we have seen in a while. HES A BEAST! haha I wish i could have a better second pick for you, but I choose Rell for now.
