I was over at the East Campus Clubhouse yesterday afternoon and I saw a bunch of hte football players working out in teh pool. Coach Gillespie was there running the whole thing. They were running in the pool, then theyd be jumping out of the pool and doing pushups, as well as a bunch of other stuff. Id of gotten pictures but I didn't have a camera with me. a friend told me that its good because of the additional resistance the water provides.

Actually yeah...swam in high school for 3 1/2 years, went to state championships 2 times. Once as an individual (50 and 100 Freestyle) and my senior year on a relay. Haven't you seen the movie "Pride"? Black folks can throw down in the water too!

It's well-noted that, in general, African-Americans are less likely to be swimmers and enjoy water sports than other cultures. It doesn't mean all blacks don't like the water. Many factors contribute to this, ranging from the way the culture is currently to the way their ancestors were. There were two black people in the class who said contributed to the conversation as well. It sounds real good when a professor accuses a student of racism when he has absolutely no leg to stand on. I don't see people coming on here and call discussions you have in your classes racist. Open discussion is what makes college special and makes you think. Maybe you should start using it.
