It's funny... this issue seems to be one of a few that I find myself agreeing with liberals as much as conservatives... Rush is on Imus's side but so is Bill Maher. Here is another self described bleeding heart liberal (with a lot of media executive experience) who puts this thing in great perspective...

He did have a tendency to behave badly in so many ways, but on balance, he presented a very interesting program with very interesting guests. You never knew what he was going to say about anyone or anything at any moment. It was the excitement of live television (and radio), in the hands of this off the wall curmudgeon. He would say what to me were racially charged things, but I NEVER thought that he was a racist.
