I guess with the Lions, Vikings and Packers in your division, your SOS doesn't really matter. On the flip side, it's only a matter of time before Rex Grossman blows a kidney or something and Tank Johnson gets arrested for pulling a gun on whatever poor Girl Scout comes to his door to sell cookies. Lovie might be better off drafting Adrian Peterson and lining him up in the backfield with the other Adrian Peterson and going triple-option all season.

You have to remember that the Panthers were in the NFC championship the year before and returned all of their key players in addition to adding Keyshawn Johnson as a second receiving option to back up Steve Smith. There was no reason for Panthers fans to think they wouldn't be highly competitive and return to the Super Bowl last year.
I don't remember who said that, but I am sure they felt stupid afterwards...

So no, I didn't feel stupid. Not at all. Whatever happened to them last year to make them fall apart was completely unexpected. I could buy that not everyone had them winning it all, but to not even make the playoffs? Come on. If you thought that you should really open a psychic hotline.
