The most successful program on Liberty Mountain deserves its own forum. We give Coach Green and the Lady Flames their props while breaking down their run to the Big Dance once again.

So we can post every single rumor about someone who has mentioned LU in their life when it comes to men's basketball, but women's basketball has to be sheltered. I don't think so.

did CG tell you this?

well i can tell you with absolute certainty that nothing is official or finalized yet, so the point still remains that it is early...it just gets a little old on here with everyone wanting to be Mr. ESPN breaking some story that either has no merit or is purposefully being kept under wraps. IMO this site should be a place to share thoughts and opinions on stories not to break stories. granted sometimes, the rumors are accurate but I just think things like this should be left alone until they are official. I'm not playing favorites with WBB here like Critic and SJ stated earlier, this should go for all things Liberty Athletics. Its things like this that push Nick Saban and Billy Donovan into corners and make them look like idiots. Some hotshot reporter wants to be the first to report on something and then, in this instance, the coach is forced to answer questions about something that he hasn't even been approached about by the schools looking to hire them.

I was told about this while I was in Canada. This site's known for breaking news about the athletic department and that type of deal. If you don't think we should do that, then, well, find somewhere else to discuss LU sports. I don't mean that in a negative way, but as long as you have the most passionate fans in one place, things are going to come out. No one's trying to be Mr. ESPN, but they're trying to let others know what they're talking about. I heard about Sherard from multiple people and thought it was common knowledge that the babysitters of the WBB program on here didn't want out yet.

I have noticed this trend on this board as well...it seems that anything to do with any of the other teams its a free for all, but all of a sudden when something happens with the women's team whether its positive of negative, there are tons of people saying we should shouldn't talk about it....but when it had to do with the men's team its alright....

This site is for discussion of the latest news, and if somebody hears something they may as well put it out there to discuss...if its not true there are plenty of people in the know that will say its not true and...I have never seen a rumor on here that isn't true stay alive for very long

So in conclusion, there seems as if people are more sensitive when it comes with info with the women's bball team then any other Liberty team...and its just ridiculous....I am not asking the people on this board that work for the team or is affiliated with the team to talk about things they can't...but there are plenty of people that hear things and there is nothing wrong with sharing it....

and in MY opinion, you're gonna be one irritated Yankees fan if you hang around here long.

that's EXACTLY what this place is all about. may I recommend a good antacid?

next thing you know you're gonna be advocating we don't root for the teams to win, so as to not hurt the opposing teams' feelings

bronx bomber, it is a messageboard, and rumors are part of it, so if you do not like it i suggest you find some other place to read and post. i never said it was a done deal or finalized, nor am i someone who really cares to break a story. everyone on here are fans of liberty athletics and if the info is solid, then i or anyone else will release it.

With all that said, I wonder when Liberty will make the already publically known announcement? I am guessing Friday, maybe we should do a poll?

Until coach tells the SID to put out the story then it will not be put out there on the website..It's his decison to make it public...It might be a little longer than you think..(closing mouth)

Has the LU ladies basketball team ever had an African-American assistant coach? If not, that might also help with recruiting--(what would Scar say?)--some sisters. Play Basketball

I'm drawing a complete blank on the name, but when Coach Green first arrived he hired a young african-american female assistant who had been a star player at Clemson when he was an assistant there. She was only here a year or 2.

Lets not forget Radford's head coach Jeri Wiley-Porter. And Tiffany Ratcliff was here for a year after her playing days in the mid 90's as well. And Cider it is pronounced Sista's  8)

Scar, I knew that--and almost typed it that way--but I thought that might be going a little too far. :P
