Campbell deputy killed in Bedford wreck

April 3, 2007

A Campbell County sheriff’s deputy was killed when his car crashed during a pursuit early this morning.

Jason Lee Saunders, 24, died around 2:40 a.m. while chasing a van from Campbell County in the Altavista area into Bedford County on Johnson Mountain Road.

I read that this morning and it just ticked me off. The guy died chasing a drunk redneck chick in a minivan.
God bless those cops that manage to somehow keep from shooting idiots like this. They're better people than me.
