Catch the rerun if you can; the theme for the show was Enough! When people decide to call things to account or buck the status quo...http://abcnews.go.com/2020/

Some Topics:

1. Covers MinistryWatch.org, an evangelical organization calling "money-mongering ministries" to account for their donations. (highlighted more of the health and wealth gurus from tv)

I caught the last half of the show focusing on Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma. He's a terrific legislator IMHO. He has practically no political allies because he takes no prisoners in calling out fellow senators on their financial pork. Surprisingly he teamed with Barack Obama to create a website so you can track how every dollar is spent in the federal government. It will go online as soon as they can get the massive database set up. Its a fantastic idea as far as I'm concerned.

The story on the lady who started the "Marrying my Baby's Daddy" deal is pretty sweet. I know statistics get knocked around all the time. But when they stated that 75% of African-American children in America are born into single parent households it breaks my heart. I know its not tremendously better in other demographics but it still blows me away. This lady (who is single after being left at the altar herself a few years back) is making a great statement to America that getting married SHOULD be a part of the equation. Its amazing how people are no longer shocked in the slightest by children being born out of wedlock. Its a national tragedy.

I get the feeling this will be a regular deal with John Stossel. I know I'd love to see more of this type of journalism.

Stossel usually raises some good points in his shows, normally calling out the lack of common sense in the subjects they cover...

Did you ever see the old footage from the 80's when he got decked by a Professional Wrestler for asking a question about if it was a true sport (back when pro wrestling was not admitting that it was a somewhat staged form of entertainment?) Classic footage...

haha...yeah that is pretty classic...but the funniest part of that whole thing is the wwf was pretty much admitting it was fake...and there were wrestlers at the time saying it was fake...yet this guy (Sid Vicious/Psycho Sid) didn't seem to like that very much

there were still a few around that didn't like to admit it and wanted to stay in character the whole time....and i think that is what he was attempting to do but completely was made out to be an idiot...which he was and is....

classic for sure

I saw the thing about the church watch thing...I think that is awesome and something that should be done. There is nothing wrong with a little accountability. As long as they are just reporting the numbers and not lying about them I see it as nothing but a good thing.....

According to the piece, the guy who founded it is reportedly an evangelical christian.

yeah I saw the piece...thats very cool....I am surprised it took this long really. We all need accountability somehow because without it we would all be crazy people.....much like how things ministries are....they are just crazy
