Breaking news from the “Nothing to See Here, Everything’s Fine” department:
Liberty LB Coach Josh Linam is heading to JMU to become Co-DC and LB coach under Billy Napier, alongside former Liberty assistant and new JMU DC Robert Bala.

But don’t worry, folks—this is clearly part of HCJC’s master plan. Because when your program is thriving, the first thing that happens is talented coaches sprinting for the exits to go coach actual defenses elsewhere.

It’s reassuring to know Liberty football is being “built the right way,” which apparently means letting quality coaches leave while we’re told to trust leadership that can’t figure out which side of the ball needs help. Spoiler alert: it’s not the linebackers. Is HCJC really running this ship or is this just a dream. Pinch me please.

As fans, we totally understand. HCJC isn’t running Liberty football into the ground—he’s just selectively removing the wrong people. Sadly, the ones leaving aren’t the coaches we were hoping would be shown the door. Side note HCJC has sent Liberty football back 20 years. J. Falwell vision has been crushed by this.

But hey, congrats to Josh Linam. JMU’s getting a real one. Liberty? We’ll just keep clapping politely while the foundation cracks and the big White House on the hill keeps thriving.

Carry on. Everything is fine.
