Might as well start a thread here. My 3 top observations
1- Lane Kiffin will not find greater success at LSU than he did at Ole Miss
2- Michigan is the dirtiest football program since SMU and Miami of the 80’s and 90’s
3- JMU has THE BEST Twitter account going right now. I’m legit jealous LU didn’t take a similar approach

This bowl season is revealing to me that bowsl as we know are going to start vanishing quicker than I anticipated. The absolute lack of enthusiasm and ratings around the bowl season thus far indicates to me that a G5 Playoff is looking more likely than ever. A year ago when the idea was being floated it sounded like a curiosity. Today it seems like an inevitability.

You can still have G5/6s eligible for the CFP while creating a tournament with real games that will be showcases for the P5s to watch for emerging talent coming into the portal. In essence it would be a Mid-Major Championship for the FBS level. I could see an 8-, 12- or even 16-team tournament being attractive to the networks as opposed to the snorefests we are experiencing right now. Let the bowls focus on the P5 leftovers and give the G5s something to really embrace.

I’m honestly unsure if ESPN is really promoting these Bowls. There really is 0 saturation around “Bowl Mania” as in last seasons. Granted I don’t consume ESPN like I used to but I still am hard pressed to tell you who is playing what Bowl and when
