While it does appear that using a VPN has been a workaround for whatever the root problem is, it does not appear to be a cut and dry matter. I do not currently have a VPN, but have had intermittent access to the board ever since the "comeback". It also appears that zero posts were made in over a week prior to the "activity" of the past few days. Hard to believe this was entirely due to a lack of interest considering we played and won a home football game during that time period. I would be curious to know if during that zero post period, anyone had tried and failed to gain access using the VPN method.

I have been able to consistently get access on my laptop since the comeback without a VPN. Other devices I haven't been able to get on at all. I did check several times during the dead week and got access then too.

I only access by iPhone and lately need the vpn just to access the site let alone post

I wonder if it’s a Windows v iOS thing. Like our tiny friend @PAmedic I only access the site on my iPhone or iPad. If I want to post I can only do so if logged on via VPN
I would wager most have tried without, been denied access and simply given up.

You may be on to something. I access the forums exclusively from a windows device, and without VPN. I can always get on and read content, but my ability to post comes and goes.

I haven't been able to access on my Android phone or on my desktop at work (yes they allow that when on breaks ). So not necessarily just a windows thing.
