Our beloved Flames are about to face off against Jax St. and Coach Ray Harper’s squad this Saturday—Ray vs. Ritchie, the ultimate coaching showdown! It’s going to be a clash of strategies, intensity, and probably a few ‘what just happened?!’ moments. ASOR, get ready to make some noise in your house and bring your A-game thoughts to this forum—because it’s about to get fiery. I am calling it now LU 71 - Jax St 65. The streak continues.

71-70 and one of Kaden, Porter, or Peter hits a last second buzzer beater because why not give us all heart attacks from our armchairs (or in my case, barstool).

Jax State is undefeated at home. Get in and get out with a W and we will be sitting back at the top of C-USA standings.

Tough night for Metheny so far. They are absolutely bodying our guards today. My memory stinks but feel like it is the same game plan from last year to take it right at them.

Still in it but have to have better interior D and better shots.

Jax State's performance was stellar tonight in the 2nd half. This ole LU armchair coach might need to rethink strategies before the two upcoming home games next week. ASOR let’s keep this going.

Disappointing! That’s at least the second game with a disastrous second half performance. At this point, we’re clearly a middle of the conference pack team, at best.

Up early for church, our LU Armchair Coach was reflecting on Dale's last comment about how LU was middle of the back in CUSA. This is competitive leagues , teams beat up on each other during conference play, and looking at your bio you’re and Old Coach also this ole Coach here would think you would understand cusa play—hey join me at church at 11am for prayer about the remaining games. Obviously, continuously playing games that LU’s small guards are mismatched by the opponents guards is not a big deal to McKay. The mismatched showed and it is a liability. Cleveland and his poor free throw is another liability as things would have been different if 75% of the free throws actually goes in.

I would switch Peter with Methany to help defensively and then I would rather have Decker or Blair than McKay but I know Ritchie is loyal to his son.

This ole armchair coach should’ve stayed at church longer today and prayed for these pollsters every time I get on this forum, all I see is whining about free throws, size, and play time for coaches son. It's unbelievable. Im starting to think these armchair coaches know more than HCRM. As the old saying goes, even a dog gets a bone every once in a while. I hope and pray it comes soon for some of youin’s. Armchair coach has one question are we trying to build champions for Christ or trying to win games. I believe in what HCRM is doing here at LU. If some don’t maybe you start a petition to get another coach that plays players that shoot free throws better, taller, and don’t have a son. It’s pathetic and pitiful. Rant over now it’s time for LU Armchair coach to take a nap.

Dale, I didn't think I said anything wrong. I was just trying to be nice. Ole Armchair coaches wife says I need to be nice sorry if I used to many words and you didn’t understand or was offended.

We just won 2 out of 3 on the road in C-USA. That is something not many teams have done over the past couple of years. It's really only disappointing because, having won the first 2, we were in a position to move into a tie for first with a win. Let's not forget that both KSU and Jax St. Were undefeated at home. Getting a split in that situation is something I can live with. I find it amusing to hear that we are "clearly" a mid-pack team when going into last nights game we were in fact a win away from being in first. Currently in a six way tie for 3rd, but plenty of games left, and the majority are at home.

I agree with you olldflame.

Oh, the trials and tribulations of being a D-1 athlete! If you've ever donned the jersey and hit the road, you know it's like embarking on an epic quest. Winning away games is akin to slaying dragons while juggling flaming swords—an endeavor that requires Herculean effort, unwavering focus, and perhaps a sprinkle of good fortune. Play Basketball
So, next time you see a team triumph on foreign turf, give them a hearty cheer—they've conquered the ultimate athletic odyssey!

Peter coming off of the bench has been a good thing so far. Coach isn't going to mess with that formula. Also, Decker has shown promise offensively, but he's a liability on defense. Same as Blair apparently. With G McKay, HCRM knows he understand the assignment and can handle himself defensively. Gabriel has proven himself in that role. We have plenty of firepower on the floor. We lost this game because we went cold in the 2nd half.
