I’m not sure what was accomplished with this debacle but hopefully someone got a nice suntan or windburn.I agree, FWIW. This was exactly why I suggested that we not accept a bowl invite. It was a VERY poor/embarrassing showing for the university to the average person watching the game and not knowing the situation.

That combined with all the missing pieces post portal and pre-draft makes it hard to determine how well he could manage the offense over the course of a season. Notably Kaiden Salter in his last game as Flames, had a pretty rough day with an offense that was much better than this one Burger got to play in during the bowl. He clearly needs to be more intentional in the ball security area when he is running the ball. The fumbles were back breakers. He didn't look comfortable out there. Not sure if if was jitters or if he hadn't fully recovered from the concussion. But that sand pit didn't help him nor did the inexperienced OL. I'm more concerned out his fumbles, but I do wonder how much the sand contributed to that. The sand appeared to mess with Hampton on at least 2 throws (pick 6 included). But I don't think the Bowl game will have much bearing on whether or not he's the starter in the fall.
