Out for the year according to Facebook. I feel bad for him. An important part of the rotation.

This is very sad news for the team and I feel even worse for him. He just seemed like he was getting in the swing of things.

This is the 3rd major knee injury he has had. What makes it more frustrating is that he was just really starting to hit his stride.
As we get into the C-USA schedule it will be interesting to see how Ritchie handles this. His history has been just to shorten the rotation, but I am hoping we will see more minutes from Yates, and maybe Yu and Spell. Yates for sure.

Isaiah does have a year of eligibility remaining, but I would think he has some deep soul searching to do at this point. It may be time to move on to life after basketball for him.

Sad news. Peter and Decker will see more minutes. They’re hungry and capable. Situationally, possibly Yates somewhat as well.

Peter, yes. We may go more with him and Maughmer at the forwards, but not too often because we are really at our best with both Cleveland and Aquino on the court. Decker's minutes could increase, but it wouldn't necessarily be because of the loss of Ihnen. He is shooting at an elite level both from 3 and the FT line, and gives us a longer guard on defense in situations where having both Metheny and Porter out there creates matchup problems.

Yu will not see any conference minutes... He's not ready.

Peter’s the more physical multi-position option available for the front. And Decker’s the logical choice for minutes at the 3 and as a scoring option from the wing.

Decker is my favorite new player. He’s going to be a great player.

Maybe they find a way to squeeze him in somehow, perhaps as a wing? Who knows?

I agree.. he can flat-out play!
Tons of talent. Needs to take a little better care of the ball.

He should get a few minutes per game so he can develop & give Aquino & Cleveland a breather. Soell should also get some minutes. Wishful thinking on my part though.

The recent Sea of Red article about Ihnen seems a little more optimistic about his return this year. I am only going on what I heard on Facebook which was anything but positive. Ihmen has amazing talent, a big man who can shoot.

All of the cupcakes during the nonconference portion of our schedule is the time to give developmental minutes and even then he got fewer minutes than spell and schirer which should tell you all you need to know about where he's at.

Defense is the only thing that the 7-16 part of the bench needs to bring in case any of the 1-6 guys get in foul trouble. That’s what the decision is going to come down to in conference play.

So, the source is Mark Zuckerburg?

There was a rumor listed in the rumor mill, but nothing new has been mentioned. In thinking about it, we aren’t very deep down there. Yates has been shooting the ball decently, but he can be a liability defensively at times. Spell seems primed for some additional minutes. I was surprised to see that neither of them got much time towards the end of the UTSA game.

Ritchie said in his postgame interview that he intentionally went with a short bench against UTSA because they had 11 days to recover, I think we will get a better idea of the rotation in the next couple of games.

It's looking like a potential upset for Kansas State over #16 Cincinnati tonight. This is, of course, great for us based on our win over KState. However, we had Ihnen for that game, and he played great. I'm hopeful he can be back in action soon, although the injury reports seem to vary as far as the status of the injury. I guess we will find out on Thursday.
