Can you get a shot from Google Earth?
(I know it will be a blurry dot)

Just saw the monstrosity for the first time . I like the idea alot, however I would say that it does look a little crooked. However, I have never seem a symmetrical mountain.

Yeah, I think once they get the rocks on the edges formed into clean lines it'll look a lot straighter (or is it more straight).

believe me...this thing has been shot with a laser so many times there is no way it's off...they are rounding out the rocks on the bottom right as we speak though

Yahoo Maps Beta actually has higher resolution pictures of the 'burg than Google does at the moment. Neither them are up to date enough to have the mountain monogram show up, but when they are, it will most certainly not be a blurry dot. It's about the size of the roof of the Vines Center, or maybe bigger, and will show up just fine from space.

It will be tough for them to get a good angle unless they were to dig a 'frame' out behind it first... It seems like they are laying it right onto the mountain... I can't see how they will ever get it even that way. But then again I don't do that line of work so maybe I (along with residents of the 'burg) need to reserve judgment.

Huge difference between Yahoo & google earth - Yahoo is many times better however they were taken before ground was broken for LaHaye
