I think the NCAA has much bigger fish to fry, and if they were going to single out someone because they've never had a black head coach, there are much higher profile programs which have been around much longer who would fill that bill. Can you say "tobacco road"? Also, apart from the historically black schools, how many other division 1 programs had 3 black assistant coaches last year?

Since this is a rumor thread I heard a "rumor" that the ncaa really has pushed LU in recent years to get an african american head coach since they have never had one...and i have heard that this is playing on JB's mind...just something to think about

Now that's what I call thinking outside of the box. How about......Dawn Staley. She is known and respected literally around the world for her point guard play, is doing a great job coaching at Temple, and there is a Virginia connection there.
