Amtrak

Good point, I forgot about Amtrak. I could also take it out of Richmond as well.
That's a great idea that gets you out of the messes that is driving I95 through DC and Baltimore.
Normally we use 301 and cut over on the Bowling Green bypass.

This could slow the roll for the Pac-2 down to a standstill for awhile. Until this all gets resolved, Wazzu & Oregon State can't make any longterm decisions outside of alking away from Pac assets and joining thr MWC. That is the last resort but only viable option until this gets resolved in the courts.

When I moved from Baltimore to Richmond I used this route. A little longer with the stoplights than I-95 when all is well on I-95, but as we all know that is seldom the case. I have gotten stuck for hours in that mixing bowl area.

He may have Newark DE confused with that big bad place two hours north. Newark DE is small and easy to navigate. They get touchy when New Ark gets confused w/Nwerk. So, don’t mess it up, unless you want an earful.

Road trips from Lynchburg should be no problem. Just choose wisely deciding what time of day to journey through the beltway.

Are you in Camden? Crossing the bridge from Philly into Camden is like going from suck to blow.

Thoughts - Ian and Costin should alternate leaving a daily voice mail for BY, telling him $ is no object. Our marketing team should creatively figure out how to show shots of campus/logo/facilities daily every time he opens his iPhone/laptop - billboards between his house and office. Get In the Big 12 / P3 now - no matter what it takes.

Basically do what SMU did for the ACC. We still need to grow enrollment and the academic side of things. This will get really costly, however it may be an advantage if LU operates this spending as collective or social benefit. Plus being taxed exempt and all.

Rumors, rumors, rumors  .

https://sports.yahoo.com/rumor-florida- ... 19056.html

Lets face it, the writing is on the wall for the ACC. Everyone knows it and the only leverage that they have (GOR) is not even worth it. Yes, those teams who leave will have to pay millions, but they'll regain that back plus more in a few years. Basically move one step back to move three steps forward.
The question is, will the ACC make the same move as the former PAC12 or they will put down their pride and do what it takes to survive? We know the SEC is interested in UNC and UVA, so who will replace these teams? OSU, WSU, Tulane? Maybe add Memphis and USF? They're going to crumble with only the Big XII still trying to stay somewhat relevant with the remaining P2 super conferences.

I'll ask you this, is ESPN interested in UNC and UVA? Two school with stacks of money and have the academic prestige to make the conference look even better.

UNC is coveted equally by both leagues. UVa not quite as much by the SEC as the B1G. Both both are valuable assets in the Mid-Atlantic.

The question then becomes whom are valued by whom among the remaining ACC assets. I think some might be surprised at who potentially could be left out of contention for both leagues. The number of teams being sized by the P2 are likely contained on a very short list. Then once the Big XII takes the remaining semi-valuable assets it will not be pretty along Tobacco Road.

I suspect the ACC will ultimately survive like the Pac-12 with a half dozen or so left behinds who have their pick of G5s.

And probably why the ACC is about to find itself on the wrong end of conference realignment. TCU, Kansas, and WVU were perfect targets after Texas and Oklahoma left for the SEC. Now the ACC could very well be comprised of VT, Pitt, Syracuse, BC, Wake Forest, Louisville, Temple, Charlotte, USF, FAU, East Carolina, SMU, Tulane, and UConn once the dust settles.

The ACC's downfall started the day they added Pittsburgh and Syracuse, followed closely by adding Louisville. Then there's the Notre Dame agreement that makes 5 ACC schools play Notre Dame each season. I believe ND's record since ACC started this stupid agreement is 32 wins 1 loss. Those 32 losses by ACC schools to ND probably cost them a higher ranking, maybe even a playoff appearance some seasons. You should never play someone who will beat you 32 out of 33 times.

Hopefully, we'll be included in that group. A Fiesta Bowl win sure would help our odds a bit.
