Even though Alabama has only 1 loss and beat the #1 GA, he does not believe the quality of opponent Alabama lost to in TX is good enough for Alabama to go to CFP. BUT, SMU’s “high” quality of opponents that they lose SHOULD count to help SMU go to the NY6 bowl.

Again, the committee thinks exactly what the announcer is saying. It's a business and they select what is best for that business. I hope I am wrong, however Liberty is not a favorite, especially being in CUSA. Kudos to LU for going 13-0! Hopefully they do not go to the Cure Bowl again.

I firmly believe that the committee covered themselves by not jumping SMU to the 25 slot last week. The whole point is that this is suppose to a g5 slot. SMU is going P4 next year to the ACC conference. It would be a slap in the face to all g5 teams/conferences to jump a next year P4 team SMU over an undefeated g5 conference champion.

They were AAC Announcers. They are obviously going to be biased towards the AAC. Plus neither said they even saw LU play. The ABC/ESPN announcers were fawning over LU.

Every announcers in their respective conferences has to sell their teams to move up the ladder because they can work the games their teams will be playing. Then they get paid more money for working those games. Lol
