If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Miami to El Paso is 1,931.5 miles.
It's just a number. Once that number is big enough that you have to get on a plane, you can double it and you are only adding an hour or 2 to the trip. For us, I'm pretty sure all of our ASUN games in all sports have involved a flight, so nothing is really changing where that is concerned.

1. JSU, Liberty, MTSU, WKU, FIU, Army (East)
2. SHSU, NMSU, UTEP, LA Tech, NDSU, plus one more (West)
My confidence in Ian is off the charts regardless, but It would be a whole lot easier for me to get on board with this if Army is involved.

If we are courting Army to join us, I hope Ian gets Ballcoach involved in the negotiations. :usa

It seems as if WKU and MTSU going to the MAC is far from a done deal. It may still happen but it isn't set in stone by any stretch of the imagination. I am sure there are a lot of phone calls going on and I'd imagine Ian is doing is best to try to put us in the best situation as possible.

From what I read yesterday on CNSbbs, the MAC doesn't have a GOR but ESPN is asking for one if they add WKU & MTSU. The asking GOR may be in the 10-15+ year range. The MAC may or may not be asking the Hilltoppers & Blue Boys for a GOR that's longer than what ESPN is asking. But apparently their hold up is somewhere in the vicinity of a GOR request. If I'm them, I'd stick it out with CUSA until the B12 expands again, which should cause another ripple with the AAC, MWC & the Belt.

If CUSA can keep WKU & MTSU, then add NDSU & SDSU, they'd be sitting really pretty. I really doubt that they could land Army, but obviously, landing the Cadets would be almost like hitting the lotto.

I will be really curious to see what Ian says about this and how the future will look. Like I have said all along, Ian has earned the benefit of the doubt and I do trust him. I have mixed feelings about CUSA but will wait to see what Ian has to say. I will feel much better if CUSA doesn't lose WKU and MTSU.

The Virginia General Assembly approved JMU to move to Sun Belt yesterday. That means they will use our tax dollars to help fund JMUs move. I still hope JMU operates in the red, and has to drop back to FCS.

It’s a state school. Your tax dollars go to Thomas Jefferson’s Esteemed University and that cow college in a Blacksburg, too.

Don't tell him that his tax dollars also go towards ODU, Longwood, Radford, George Mason, and VCU :speakhearsee

EDIT: Oh, and the school that educated Mr. Jefferosn, W&M (although I haven't heard Ballcoach say anything negative about W&M)

Liberty's campus makes W&M look like a middle school, from what i remember from my only trip to Williamsburg.

Virginia has some real losers in my book, UVA, JMU, ODU, Radford, Longwood and VCU. Only 3 schools i like are Liberty, VT and VMI.

They are liberal universities.
If you think VT and even VMI are not, you are delusional. Virtually every secular university in this country is infected with it, and a significant % of those who have religous affiliations as well. As is always the case in ballcoach world, good and bad are determined by what you have arbitrarily decided you like or dislike.
