Missed the first half. Surprised to see Preston start the second half, but what I love about Ritchie ball is Rode and Robinson are on the bench cheering when not playing. We have such a good culture.

Guards are much more effective tonight. McGhee and Parker doing a lot. Abii is a player. Miss St struggling with POB D, slow feet. Purdue’s posts were much more agile.

2 things stand out from the small sample size I saw tonight:

1. We are a good and deep team. Possibly the deepest team we have ever had.

2. Purdue is significantly better than Mississippi State.

If that Purdue kid could get a sky hook he’d be unstoppable. Painter needs to bring Kareem in for a few weeks!

I think Purdue is better than a whole lot of teams. Interested to see how they do against Clemson.

If Mississippi State hit their free throws yesterday like they did today, they beat Clemson by 10 at least. We played Purdue tough yesterday, I think this team can be really really good.

I thought Preston played well considering he went against bigger and physically stronger bigs.

Man preston showed me something tonight. Good positioning tough rebounds nice finishes and shot free throws. He shiloh and abii form a nice trio inside.

Parker mcghee and cuff really play well together.

Im really curious to see jackson. If hes good enough to take some of mcdowells minutes and shoot better than boy we can be special. Any word on how long hes out?

The defense will come around but were able to score the ball better than any lu team i remember.

We lost four stars off a 30-win team and have hung with two P5s with no exhibition games beating one of them by double digits while one of our better freshmen is hurt. Meanwhile, we have a recruit coming in averaging 40 points per game in high school and he’s the lesser of the two signees.

This is fun.

This win is a big one. Miss St is a top 65 team in terms of BPI.

We can shoot the three. It will be interesting to see if we keep relying on it this much going forward or if it's just a product of being undersized compared to P5 teams. It might make us more inconsistent than last year. I think we've already seen the inconsistency in 2 games.

Our defense did seem dramatically better in the second half than the 3 prior halves. I'm hoping that's something we can build on, but I do think our inside play will be our weakness for the next few years.

Shiloh seems a bit underutilized to me. I like the way he plays. Kind of an attitude trying to dunk on people, and he's got good size and strength and he's not a bad shooter. Just a few thoughts.
