Pollsters and playoff committee should ignore them.

A 2 loss SEC team would be better team than an undefeated Big 10 or PAc 12 team. Heck maybe even a 2 loss ACC team
Watered down?

Kind of like Clemson's ACC schedule, right? :D

You didn't answer my questions. Would Liberty beat Ohio State? Would Liberty beat Penn State?
Don’t hold your breath. 2 things ballcoach never does is use logic and answer questions

I don't know if Liberty could beat the Buckholes or Penn State. That's why games are played on the field. Penn State may be in for a rough season. I think I heard their 2 best players are not playing.

I will say that I agree that they shouldn't have been ranked until they hit the field.

Preseason, rank them.
Weeks 1-5 exclude them.

Their choice to cancel and reinstate the season should have been reflected in the polls.

By canceling season, they should be banned from polls for entire season. Ohio State has an easy schedule and the committee will no doubt put Buckholes in playoffs. Ahead of more deserving teams.

Isn’t the root of a “weak Big 10/Pac12 schedule all of the OUT of conference cupcakes they play? So, BC, doesn’t that mean their schedules this year will be stronger in the absence of non-con cupcakes? :dontgetit

Ohio State plays Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana, Illinois among others. Sure they don't have the cupcakes from MAC this season, but with an all conference schedule, they really don't need non conference cupcakes, they have them in Big 10.

You're on a Liberty board talking about other teams cupcake schedules? Really? Wow. 2-17 my friend. And one of our wins is FCS.

The ACC is just as weak, if not more weak than those conferences. Even the ranked teams, outside of Clemson, aren't that strong. Clemson has an easy road to the playoff.

Does that mean they aren't good? No! They are very good but your Big 10/Pac 12 bias is showing once again.

The SEC is the only conference that routinely has multiple teams with realistic NC potential.

BTW - Clemson plays Syracuse this week. Yes - that Syracuse

Fun fact. Since the college football playoff became a thing the big ten has had more teams in the top 6 than the SEC.
I put the highest ranking each top 6 program has achieved in parentheses.

SEC:
LSU (1)
Alabama (1)
Georgia (3)

Big Ten:
Ohio St (2)
Michigan (6)
Wisconsin (6)
Penn St (5)
Michigan St (3)
Iowa (5)

ACC:
Clemson (1)
Notre Dame (2)
Florida St (3)

Big 12:
Oklahoma (2)
Baylor (5)
TCU (6)

Pac 12:
Oregon (2)
Washington (4)
Stanford (6)

IMO most of the SEC is overrated. It seems like auburn, tennessee, florida and texas a&m are hyped up as "championship contenders" almost every year but they are no better than Minnesota or iowa most years.

SEC teams beat up on each other. Big 10 beats up on Indiana, Illinois , Purdue and MAC buyout teams.

Can you at least you can't get past your SEC/ACC bias?

The ACC is terrible and you give them a pass. It is really odd.

They were the 4 seed that year. I was going off of the final rankings put out before the CFP playoff

I can't believe folks get riled up about BCs absurd opinions. It is within everyone's rights to have opinions, no matter how hare-brained they are. Don't forget, he is a softball first kind of guy, so there's that.

We wont end up in the top 25 this week. Your article is right on. If we beat VT in two weeks? Thats another story.

I did think for a minute that we had a chance. When we went into the locker room at half, the score was pretty impressive... and Clemson was hanging on for dear life.

LIBERTY CONTINUES TO RISE BUT REMAINS IN OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES
By: Jon Manson

In the Coaches Poll, Liberty received 112 points, effectively ranking 27th, up from last week’s 57 points and 31st ranking. The Flames have won eight straight games dating back to last season, the second longest active win streak in the country, trailing only Notre Dame who has won 11 straight.

In the Associated Press Top 25 poll, the Flames received 85 points and are also ranked No. 27. This is up from last week’s 37 votes and No. 33 ranking.
