Exactly this! Before there were a vocal group of Republicans voting for Biden but this might change that for at least some of them. I have been on the record saying Trump will win but this not makes it a nearly sure thing at this point.

I agree with the premise but think you have the wrong issue. Guns are going to play a big part in it. Lots of first time gun owners now. Lots of Democrats (looking at you Beto) have come out and said they are going to take our guns. Abortion will certainly play a role but guns will be a close second (see what I did there)

I shoot skeet competitively and am in an NRA membership required shooting club club. A couple lifelong Democrats voted Trump in 16 solely on the gun issue. I think every Trump voter is motivated. I don’t think every Biden voter is - SC seat will push a few more to the polls. Any conservative not voting Trump This time around never was a conservative to begin with. There hasn’t been a more a clear picture of which way the country goes since 198O and probably ranks right behind the 1860 election.

I think enough people may be motivated solely against Trump to make it close. I don’t see them motivated by Biden. I think the picture you see depends on where you’re looking. If you spend a lot of time on Reddit or Twitter, you’d think Trump loses in a landslide.

With this early voting stuff, I replied to a Facebook post, "election day is November 4".
Facebook said I didn't meet Community Standards, and banned me for 24 hours.

Yes, I am 99.9% against it. Everyone should go to polls on November 4 and vote. Exceptions are military and those confined to health care facilities. And those away on assignment, i.e. work and can't get home on November 4.

Democrats are looking for ways to cheat, and early voting may help them.

Mailing ballots out to anybody and everyone to addresses that haven't been confirmed for years is a legit concern.

Absentee ballots, mail-in ballots that you request, and early voting are all great ways to get as many people to the polls. Which is great any year, but especially important this year.

I prefer to view it as a set of policies and principles...but trying to explain that is like banging my head against the wall. I'm not even a "passionate supporter". No signs, shirts, heavy social media postings on it....just through conversation. Oh...the guy who called me a "phony Christian" was a preacher. Anyone else have similar situations? Not that I care what this person thinks of me.....I guess this is the first time I've been categorized and condemned to hell over politics. I thought I'd do some googling and found it more interesting that nearly EVERYTHING i could find on the net referenced how Christians should not support Trump and how one could justify their faith as a Christian and support the democrat agenda. I would invite others to try it....but I was really surprised how the search results were arranged.

I think filling the Supreme Court vacancy fast is a huge mistake. If it isn't filled, a lot of conservatives on the fence (i.e. me) about voting for Trump may be more likely to cast their vote for Trump if the vacancy hasn't been filled yet.

To me, it makes it appear there is some nervousness among Republicans about not only winning the presidency but also maintaining the majority in the senate.

All talk about hypocrisy aside. Those fears are the only reason why I could understand why Republicans want to push this through now.

honestly this is the sole reason many voted for trump and not hillary. this exact situation. and there is no telling if you will win for sure or not in 30 someodd days. you do what you have to do now. don't time the market as they say. and you do it even though you will look like enormous idiot hypocrites because the democrats have no credibility after what they pulled on Kavanaugh.

I assume it will be woman and it will be announced this week. and it will get pushed through thanks to Harry Reid.

The odds are pretty high there’s going to be another SCOTUS opening in the next 4 years.
If the Democrats try to pull another Kavanaugh things will get ugly for them. Harris will have to be off the trail and in those hearings. Biden will have to answer whether or not he’s going to “stack the Court” if he gets elected.
