I’m totally fine with voting for neither. I respect that over some inane “protest vote”. It’s still not making a decision and no I don’t by the “I’m making a decision by not making a decision “ line But yes you ARE engaged with the entire process which is more than most
Ethically I view my vote as an endorsement of that person. I can’t bring myself to endorse either of the top 2 ding-dongs. I’m not terribly inspired by Jorgensen, so I may be sitting this one out.

I wish someone like Kasich would put himself out there as a reasonable alternative, but few reasonable people are willing to abandon the force that having the big party machines behind them brings.

I was a big Kasich guy last election. Since then I’m glad to see he crashed and burned
Ethically, I feel I need to make a decision. I know I’m never going to agree with someone 100%. And when it comes to Politics I know that the person running may have a different moral compass. But what matters in Politics is Policy. That’s where I go and what I look at. If I agree with one persons policy over another that’s the first bar I Clear. Then I look at record/success. So for instance I might agree most with Jo’s policy but when I look at any type of accomplishment that would give me faith in her implementing them....I got nothing.

Don't worry, it is an absentee ballot from Florida. According to POTUS, we do elections perfectly. Nothing to worry about!

Haha yeah I know. There is a huge difference.

But it is also funny he tried to claim Florida elections are perfect. Florida is infamous for their handling of ballots.

With the passing of Ginsburg the Supreme court is now front and center in this election. It's going to get crazy now, as if it wasn't already.

McConnell is going to try to rush a nomination and seat a justice (or two if he can get Thomas to retire), hypocrisy be damned.

If you think the dim-o-crats wouldn't do the exact same thing, I have some ocean front property in Kansas to sell you. Being a conservative, I am not sure what is the best thing to do before the upcoming election, politically. I am 100% sure, what would be best for the future of our country.

Forget politically or “best for the future”, how about ethically?

I actually disagree. Every Conservative who doesn’t like Trump but thinks overturning Roe is the way to end abortions now has their reason to vote for him. Just like 2016 - “I don’t like him but if we can get a 6-3 majority on the court we can overturn Roe.”

It’s interesting that the Supreme Court has basically become a matter of elections, when it was supposed to be removed from the electoral process to preserve its integrity.

I also think conservatives are going to be more motivated by the court than democrats because of Roe. I also am aware that even the conservative justices on the court have never showed an inclination that they would reverse Roe, so it may be more of a mirage to fire up the base.

Hope your right, but I think Trump “ nose hold voters” are a lot Fewer in number than Biden “ nose hold voters” and the Biden “on the fence” voters are needing any kind of justification to pull the lever for Harris, er I mean Biden. This riot stuff even has blue blood NY City Dems voting red. Without mail in voting fraud, BLM Soros “treason fund” this would Be the biggest Electoral landslide win for Trump since Reagan. But 3 big swing states are run by Democrats which will ensure electoral vote nightmare. Press will be nuts over the SC nominee “rules” crap.

Exactly this! Before there were a vocal group of Republicans voting for Biden but this might change that for at least some of them. I have been on the record saying Trump will win but this not makes it a nearly sure thing at this point.

I agree with the premise but think you have the wrong issue. Guns are going to play a big part in it. Lots of first time gun owners now. Lots of Democrats (looking at you Beto) have come out and said they are going to take our guns. Abortion will certainly play a role but guns will be a close second (see what I did there)

I'm talking about what the left does when things don't go their way. I expect them to harass senators, threaten people. Here comes those pink caps again. :?

True, the court seems to mutate to stay split. "Roberts".

Guns will play a role without a doubt but the belief that somehow having conservative lead Supreme Court will throw out Roe v Wade has been a driving force in Supreme Court nominations for a while. The ironic thing is, I don't think there are a lot of conservative judges out there interested in throwing it out.

Gun ownership rights aren't in jeopardy right now but the belief among many is the dems want to take all the guns so it does seem like something that could also get that base fired up.

I have grown up in conservative circles all my life and so I am well aware of how fired up Supreme Court vacancies get conservatives. My question is, does it also fire up liberals? Is there a scenario in which dems not wanting to vote for Biden so they've decided to vote 3rd party or not at all, all of a sudden decide to vote Biden because of this? I don't really know.

A few new rulings to protect the unborn is a first step. The left and planned parenthood has turned it into just another contraceptive method. The Virginia governor  wants to take it to the next level.

I shoot skeet competitively and am in an NRA membership required shooting club club. A couple lifelong Democrats voted Trump in 16 solely on the gun issue. I think every Trump voter is motivated. I don’t think every Biden voter is - SC seat will push a few more to the polls. Any conservative not voting Trump This time around never was a conservative to begin with. There hasn’t been a more a clear picture of which way the country goes since 198O and probably ranks right behind the 1860 election.
